on fully loaded web pages, there is a 2-3 second lag from
clicking a tab until you actually see it happen. Even
typing on the page, each key stroke lags 2-3 seconds
before the letter actually appears. Page loading time is
normal, and display is normal. even dragging the mouse
over a hotling, there is a 2-3 second delay before the
link highlights.
Have downloaded all updates, updated to IE 6, ran
virus....any ideas?

Chack for malware. Go to:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip.

Download, unzip, double-click "HijackThis.exe" and Press "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log"
button.
Click: "Save Log" (generates "hijackthis.log")

Next, HijackThis | Config [button] | Misc Tools [button]
Click: Generate StartupList log [button] (generates "startuplist.txt")

Next, go to the below location: Spyware and Hijackware Removal Support.
