slow web page display

Im running XP Home...I have DSL connection.....in the past
week,all my web pages are running extermemly slow...takes
longer than dial up connection to display home page...or
any other page...all programs are running smoothly...this
is the only problem Im having...Thank you for any help you
may have

Spyware alert!

With DSL I hope you have installed a FireWall.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

Let AD-Aware Scan your system for advertising Spyware

Had same problem. Do you use comcast too? I posted the
solution I got from MS (after a $245 phone call) in my
recent post titled "SOLUTION to slow web pages". Or write
me and I'll send it to you.
