slow to save doc - Word 2002

Hi there
Please can you help. If we start a new document in Word
and type in a couple of words then click on Save, it
takes over 7 seconds to save. We have tested all the
network hardware, etc and that is all fine. Saving in
Notepad is instantaneous. I have set up in Tools,
Options, Save - allow fast saves and Allow background
saves. Do you have any idea what is causing this problem.

I may have solved my own problem - could be a problem
with norton antivirus -

By the way, uncheck Allow Fast Saves, it tends to lead to corruption.
