Slow system

All of a sudden the MAC on my network are slowing down to save a 200k file
could take 10 minutes, a 1 Meg file 30 minutes. This started Monday there
were no changes made to any of the systems. The server has 40 gig free hard
disk and 2gig of ram. I even there was no events in the event viewer I
restarted the server. Today is just as slow.

Any thoughts ?

This is a shot in the dark, but do you have any routers on the network with
Spanning Trees enabled? This is an old issue that can cause slow AFP
performance.
