slow startup

I have my PC Win XP Pro update SP2. But the startup is slow since some of
the startup programs are loaded after about 20 sec with CPU idle after
logging in Windows. I have tried cleaning and defragment harddisk. Though it
happens no improvement. How can I make all the startup programs run
immediately after loggin in Win without waiting for about 20 sec of CPU
idle?

20 seconds isn't slow at all , you are lucky that all its
taken
