slow slow performance, freezes

my comp seems to be much slower and it freezes up alot i have only had this windows 2000 xp 4 months, i have cleaned my cache ,deleted alot of pics, and defrag, to no avail

please help with any tips or info you may have

when im surfing the net i keep getting knock off and then recieve an ie error message box that says do want to report it

why does this happen? it happens alot
and my system seems to bog down waht can i do to speed things up
i cleaned out my cache and have good system resources 87
and defrag to

A computer slowing down can be caused by a number of different reasons. First run disk cleanup. Next see how many programs are running at the same time. Clean out your "temp" files. Run an up to date antivirus , spyware, adware programs. These type problems can slow a computer down tremendously. Can be hard drive space running low. Amount of ram, or virtual memory low.
