Slow roaming profiles

I am having trouble with the roaming profiles on XP Pro.
The profiles work fine they just takes forever to load
over the network. Is there anyway to speed up the process?

Dave,

One of the easiest ways I found for folks to make their profiles load
slowly was to put large files in them. A file dropped onto the
desktop, rather than putting a shortcut to that file on the desktop,
would do very well in making someone's profile really large. Check
your profile, see if there are any large files or folders in there
that don't belong.
