Slow response

All of my Internet related applications (IE 6.0, MSN 7.0,
AOL 9.0) load pages very slowly. I'm running Internet
over a Comcast cable modem connection, but a friend
PINGed me and says that he doesn't see any delay on the
network. Anyone run into this before?
