Slow performance of windows XP

Hi

I was forced to reinstall the OS on my computer.. Once i have reinstalled
the OS since then, when i move any windows it just scrolls and moves very
slowly..

I tried disc fragmentation, disc cleanup also cleared temp files still the
same..

Please help in fixing this problem, I have a good system config

AMD, 512 Ram and have more than 40Gb of hard drive space

After you reinstalled Windows did you also reinstall the drivers for the
motherboard, the video card, etc?
