Slow Performance/ Can not manage workstation

G

Gary

I have a windows 2000 server with about 15 workstations.
One of the workstations (win 2000) when logging into the
network experiences very poor performance on the local
network. Browsing a network drive take 3 to 5 minutes
just for the drive to appear. However browsing the
Internet and receiving pop mail all seems to be operating
normally. One other symptom is from the server console I
cannot manage the workstation.

All the network settings on the workstation are set
correct, or at least the same as all the other
workstations. The user can login at another workstation
and works fine. I have deleted the computer from the
domain and added it back. I am not sure what else to
check.

Does anyone have any ideas what is wrong?

Thanks in advance for any help,

Gary

Maybe you can try WINS service!
