slow openning delegates calendars

Hi, we are experiencing issue with slow opening of shared calendars
(outlook2003/Ex2K3) the problem occurs intermittently opening quickly once
and then upto 15-20sec’s the next time. Unable to find anything relevant on
this. Would love to know what is going on in the background and if this can
be tweaked for better performance.
