slow opening files

When I double click on a file in Start/Documents or a
shortcut to a file on the desktop there is a 5 second
delay before the hourglass appears. This is true of Excel
and Word files but not all others. HELP!!!!!

Hi

Try deleting the normal.dot file with all MS Office apps. closed.
