Hi.

We have problems with slow logins to terminal servers, i've checked the
userenv.log file and i noticed that the user login proccess in stuck 30
seconds between this two steps...
USERENV(804.82c) 23:04:24:246 GetHkeyCU: RegOpenKey failed with error 2
USERENV(bd8.cf4) 23:05:07:339 LibMain: Process Name:
C:\WINNT\system32\mpnotify.exe

What is this error2 error?
What can i do to fix it?

Thnx,
:)

Are you running W2K or 2003 on your Terminal Server? Which
ServicePack?

Have you tried to install the UPHClean utility?
Documented / download here:

There are also a couple of post-SP4 hotfixes regarding profile load
and unload errors.

I'm not sure, but I would guess that it means a Profile load error.
System error code 2 means "file not found" but I don't know if
userenv uses the same error codes.

Which Events do you see in the EventLog?
Does this happen to all users?
I assume that you have roaming profiles?
Does it also happen with a freshly created user account?
And if you give it a local profile?
Are you running any anti-virus software? Tried to (temporarily)
disable it, delete the roaming profile and then check again?
