slow log in

Hi

I am using a new pc with windows xp professional - I have noticed it can
take up to 1 min after I enter my username and password before I can
actually do anything.

any ideas how to quicken this up - it is a sony pcg-z1rsp laptop.

Download and run BootVis. Once you have used this tool you
should be able to boot to the desktop in under one minute.
You should also make sure that you are not storing any
programs or files on your desktop. You should only have
shortcuts there. Good luck.
