slow in log off

My Window xp took 5 minutes plus to log off. My son's only takes 25 seconds.
Looks like Window xp is tracking all the things that I did. If I log on and
log off within 2 minutes, it will only take 25 seconds to log off. My Window
98 took 5 to 10 seconds to log off.

In addition, very often shutdown problems are related to malware on the
computer. Make sure you have a full-featured current version (not
earlier than 2003) antivirus installed using updated definitions. Scan
for non-viral malware with Ad-aware and Spybot Search & Destroy (both
free) on a regular basis.
