Over the last few weeks, my internet explorer has become
slower and slower especially with secure websites. I am
not a techie, but I have regularly deleted temp internet
pages and cookies; have restricted the size of cache;
have checked the internet options security tab and
believe it is correctly set. I have run pc pit stops
tests on the computer and it shows problems but I am not
savvy enough to figure out what they are telling me. I
have used the usual step of turning off the computer and
starting it again, but to no avail

Can anyone help an old guys who is trying, but does not
have the technical computer skills to figure this out nor
to understand what sites like pc pit stop are telling me.

I have a new Dell 4600 computer with plenty of power and
speed and memory and am on a cable modem which works
fine. Out of frustration, I downloaded Netscape last
night. It went immediately to the secure web pages with
which I have had trouble getting to on Internet
Explorer. Should this continue, I should probably stay
with Netscape as my browser.

My thanks in advance,

Bill Hawver
