Since the installation of the Windows update SP2? I have noticed a slow down
in the functioning of my unit. e.g Norton would take 33-36 minutes to run
each night (12 am) and now it takes 59-64 minutes.
But that is not my major problem. I also noticed that if my unit is idle
for +30 minutes it slows down to almost a stop of all other functions. I
have turned off all power optimizing functions. I ran a graphical program.
Nothing else running, it does some calc and displays a graph a couple time a
minute. Well, after 30 minutes it comes to a craw.
To figure out what was going on I opened the Task Manager and sorted the
display by CPU usage, then I waited 30 minutes. What I saw was after 30
minutes 'exeplorer.exe' was using 100% cpu.
As soon as I move the mouse of touched a key on the keyboard the system
returned to normal, with system idle ~ 99% cpu usage.
Anybody have any thoughts for me?
