slow connection.

I have a External Modem,Robotics 56K.
the Connection Wissard tels me that the reason
I have such a bad connection is that my Modem
is not Ok. please help.

Hi,

the reason could be a faulty cable or it is not pinned
properly to the computer. or the telephone jack is faulty
or even the telephone jack needs to be replaced if it has
been used for quite a long period.
