slow connection at night. HELP

For about a month, my internet connection has been really slow at night. It works perfectly fine in the morning but after 8:45 it becomes very slow. I know that i don't have any problem with the phone line . Because i tried to hook the computer to the phone jack of my other computer. It still doesn't work, but my other computer works fine. I tried to do system recovery but it didn't help. Is there something wrong with the modemn? Can somebody please help me?

Obscure, but possible. Are you close to the tower of a radio station? And
does said radio station change it's power output at night? Listen on your
phone line and see if it gets noisey after 8:45 PM when things slow. If so,
you can get a filter at your local Radio Shack that should help.
