Slow Boot

I am having problems recently. My WINXP home seesm to be taking 5mins to boot.
I have run numerous different adware programs and have Norton AV all of
which come up with nothing in particular. I have cut down my stsrt up list to
just the basics and am now pulling my hair out!

I seem to rmember that the problem started just after i loaded the XP back
up facility?

Any ideas please

I don't know about anyone else, but Norton's AV2005 was the cause of my slow
boot problem. I had to reinstall WinXP!!
