Hello everyone,
I'm sorry if this has been discused before, but the
search was not working for me.
My computer takes a long time to finish start up. When I
turn it on it will get to my logon screen very quickly.
I then click the account I want, and windows comes up
fairly quickly also. The problem is I cannot do anything
for the next 4-10 min. Norton antivirus takes forever to
load up. The computer look inactive no HD light on or
anything. I can veiw folders but not run any programs,
and if I try I takes even longer before I get control of
my computer.
Computer Info:
Matsonic MS9377C motherboard
Intel 2.6GHz p4 w/HT
1.5GB kingston 333MHz DDR ram
ATI ALL IN WONDER 8500 DV graphics card
Linkeys PCI ethernet card
WireSpeed DSL modem
60GB & 120GB Maxtor hard drives
Liteon 52x CD-RW
Memorex DVD+RW/+R
Win XP Home SP1
Verizon DSL W/MSN
Norton Sys works 2003
500W power suply
I think thats all the info I need.
Pleas help if anyone knows how to speed up startup. It
only takes long before norton AV loads up.
Thank you
