Slow Boot Time

I am running Windows XP Pro on a Toshiba Notebook. Plenty of RAM, CPU, etc.
Installed Bootvis to find out the problem. The culprit was "Logon+Service"
Init Time: 164.30 seconds. Do not the know the fix for this. Tried to have
the Bootvis program fix it, but no improvement. Please advise.
Those familiar with Bootvis know there is a graph presented that shows how
long every process at boot takes to load. The 164 seconds is way too long
that process!

Have you tried disabling the secondary logon service to see if that helps?
(Start...Run...type in SERVICES.MSC and press ENTER). Right click on the
service and select properties - then select DISABLE. Click OK and then
reboot your system for the changes to take effect.
