Slow Boot Time

I am running Windows XP Pro on a Toshiba Notebook. Plenty of RAM, CPU, etc.
Installed Bootvis to find out the problem. The culprit was "Logon+Service"
Init Time: 164.30 seconds. Do not the know the fix for this. Tried to have
the Bootvis program fix it, but no improvement. Please advise.

Try start->run and msconfig

navigate to startup programs and disable the ones you don't need....

Hi, I had the same problem and i had some advice like this: go to
Administrative Tools,go to services, scroll down to DHCP client and disabled
this box.
