Slow "back" response only with IE

This is very puzzling to me but for some reason and only recently my ie 6.0
browser has become very slow and sometimes requires several clicks when I
want to go "back". I also run firefox and just checked and it doesnt do
it...in other words it responds in the blink of an eye. I have a great
cable connection BTW. It does it on all sites and I am running win xp
home. I wonder if anyone has any ideas what might cause this. I have tried
to google for a result but may not be using the right keywords. Please
don't hesitate to write if you have any ideas....

Thanks Wesley, I have no doubt this is the culprit. Unfortunately it means
I have to live with it. Probably better that wading through the ads on the
way in though rather than the way back. Very inciteful...thanks again.
