I have been running windows 2000 with active directory for some time now and all has been well up until the last couple of weeks. Now my AD runs extremely slow and I was wondering if theres anything I can do to speed it.

What is your network setup ? Is your network slow or your server ? Are all
your servers/clients using the same internal DNS server ? any wins server
for downlevel clients ?

What does "Slow" mean? This is way to generic to provide help. Please
provide some specifics to try and provide some assistance.

Hi Stefan,

What functions are you doing when you say AD is show, opening an MMC?
Make sure DNS is pointed to the local DNS server and not your ISP.

If opening AD users and copmuters or any other AD related mmc on main server it is very slow. The DNS is located on this server and there is no wins is install. on the network at all.
