I have made a slipstreamed CD using my Dell OEM Windows XP SP1 CD and the MS
SP2 CD.
The slipstreaming process has gone smoothly with no error messages.
However, when I boot from the slipstreamed CD and attempt to do a repair
reinstall of Windows XP, I get this error message about halfway through the
process; " Cannot copy RTCDLL: the parameter is incorrect."
The file in question is copied from the SP2 CD. The full path is ( taken
from MadBoot's PE Builder);
ReadFile
"F:\i386\asms\52\POLICY\MSFT\WINDOWS\NETWORKING\RTCDLL\RTCDLL.MAN" returned
error 87: The parameter is incorrect.
I can copy the file from the SP2 CD to my HDD without problems, but when it
is on the slipstreamed CD it cannot be copied.
I have now made two slipstreamed CDs, one using the Microsoft method and the
other using a program called AutoStreamer.
I have the same problem with both slipstreamed CDs.
Has anyone else struck this problem?
