slipstream service packs for original WinXP Pro disk

I would like to enable large LBA upon install of my original WinXP pro os so
that the entire 320 GB of harddrive can be formatted and kept as a single
partition. The original WinXP Pro edition can only access, see 128 GB.
Can anyone please point me to instructions on how to slipstream sp1 and sp2
into a bootable WinXP OS install disc? And will a slipstreamed OS be able
to "see" and format a 320 GB hard drive initially. Western Digital has
suggested that I purchase 3rd party disk "magic" software. I'm hoping the
microsoft can provide updates to the limitation of it's original WinXP
edition... thanks

You only need to slipstream SP2 with the original CD - SP1 is included in
SP2.

Go here http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showforum=89 and download
AutoPatcher 1.0.3.3 - it will guide you through the process.

You can also do a Google search on slipstreaming and read the articles
that will be listed.

I believe Jerry meant to refer you to the AutoStreamer program - see
http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=223562

It's an excellent (and free! - although I believe the developer accepts
donations) program for slipstreaming SP2 onto XP.

And see http://www.webtree.ca/windowsxp/slipstream.htm for step-by-step
instructions for using AutoStreamer.

Answered in another newsgroup. Please do not send the same message
separately to more than one newsgroup (called multiposting). Doing so just
fragments the thread, so someone who answers in one newsgroup doesn't get to
see answers from others in another newsgroup. And for those who read all the
newsgroups the message is multiposted to, they see the message multiple
times instead of once (they would see it only once if you correctly
crossposted instead). This wastes everyone's time, and gets you poorer help
than you should get.

If you must send the same message to more than one newsgroup, please do so
by crossposting (but only to a *few* related newsgroups).

Please see "What is the accepted way to share a message across multiple
newsgroups?" at http://smjg.port5.com/faqs/usenet/xpost.html
