Slides disappear. Only first slide shown

Hi,

I received a word document with powerpoint embedded, I think as a .pps

I tried to save the powerpoint as a separate file. Right clicked on
the powerpoint | slide object | convert. Not sure what I did next but
tried to convert or activate to powerpoint presentation

Now instead of seeing all 10 slides I can only see the first slide,
but in normal view not presentation mode.

I've tried copying the object to local drive, changing the extension
to ppt or pps, but cannot see the remaining slides. Similarly,
deleting the word document and saving it again from my email does not
change the situation

Any ideas how to reconvert / revert please? I think the properties of
embedded powerpoint (either properties in powerpoint or word) are now
somehow changed (other non-embedded powerpoints still open as usual.
Other embedded powerpoint is different word documents have the same
problem - only first slide displayed)

Basically, you need to right-click and choose Open, not Convert. Once the
file is opened, then use Save As to save it to your harddrive.

You can also try saving as HTML, but I don't know if that will give you the
PPS/PPT file in the resulting folder or not.
