Slides appear differently when opened in an other/older version

I prepared a 5 slide presentation using PowerPoint 2003 and e-mailed it to my
client. When my client opens the presentation on her computer using PP 2000
some of the text is out of alignment (not where I put it). I've tried saving
it as an older version (File - Save As - Save As Type - PowerPoint 97-2003 &
95 Presentation) and I've also saved it as a presentation for review (File -
Save As - Save As Type -Presentation for Review). After saving the
presentation as different versions I've reopened the presentation and
everything looks good on my end but what my client sees the same problems
when she opens these. How do I fix this?

Thanks.

Most likely your client doesn't have a font that you've used in the
presentation.

Have your client open the presentation (saved normally, no need for any of the
special save options); then choose Format, Replace Fonts. Look for any fonts
with a ? icon next to them. Those are fonts that the presentation needs but are
not installed on the system.
