Slide Transition for PP 2000

I thought that there was a way to set each slide so when you clicked on it /
hit enter you could select which slide in a presentation would be next. I
know that I can create a hyper link on specific text or drawings to take me
to a slide of my choosing. However, is there a way to set the slide so that
hitting enter/return can take me to a specific slide? Powerpoint 2000.

Here are a couple of options, but I don't think either is what you want.
You could set up a Custom Show. You would link to the Custom Show and then
the slides would appear in the order you set them up in the Custom Show.
The obvious answer, though, is probably too obvious to be what you really
want. You can go to Slide Sorter View and drag the slides to be in whatever
order you want.
