slide titles

I have created over 30 Powerpoint presentations for my students, now I find I
should have used the slide title function to name each slide. Is there any
way I can add titles to each slide in each presentation without having to
re-make the whole lot?

In PowerPoint 2002/2003:

You won't be able to "automatically" insert the titles, but you can simplify
the process by using your slide layout feature (the black & white thumbnails
that appear on the right of your screen when you click Insert > Slide). These
text and title layouts represent the format established in your slide master.

To move the text from the text box you created, to the appropriate Title
boxes, highlight and cut the text (not the text box) you want to move, then
place your cursor in the "Click to Add Title Box", then click "Edit > Paste
Special > Unformatted Text. The text will take on the format of the Master
Title.

Hope this helps.

Open one of the presentations in PPT. Do you see the slide miniatures to the
right? At the top of that list, there are either one or two tabs. The active
tab is slides, the other one is outline. Click to go to the outline. Now you
should see a list of text where the several of the lines start with slide
icons. I am guessing those lines will all be blank. Put your slide titles
there and they will show up as titles on the slides.

Post back if you have questions or need more details.

Thank you both so much. Now I find it's really easy to name the slides after
I've made the PPTs and there are actually several ways of doing it......I'll
NEVER again make a PPT without giving each slide a title!!
