Slide Timings

I am creating a slideshow using Microsoft PowerPoint 2003. I wanted some of
the slides to be different timings so that some of the slides would stay up
longer than others. Everytime I click on slide transitions there is only a
button that says "Apply to All" but I only want the times to apply to certain
slides. Is there any way I can do this?

If you check Automatically After and type in the preferred time it will apply
to the slide that slide only.

What ever time you enter is applied without the need to click a button. If
you enter a time and close the transition pane (or even if you don't) it is
automatically applied. It is a bit counter intuitive, especially with the
'apply to all' button right there. It may help you to visualize the timing
settings if you apply the individual times from the slide sorter view, where
the auto transition times are shown under the slide thumbnails.
