When printing handouts with multiple slides per page has
anyone found a way to print the slide number BELOW the
slide in a size that is readable to eyes that have been
around a few years? I have checked the handout master,
but have not seen anything to do it. Also the ones that
are on the slides are sometimes covered by slide content
anyway. Thanks.

Have you tried drawing a text box on the handout master and typing the slide
number in a larger point size? Or, changing the point size in the number
placeholder on the slide master and positioning the placeholder in the lower
right corner?

This is something that HandOut Wizard does exceptionally well. HOW is an
add-in to PowerPoint that I use for this very reason several times every
week.
