slide numbers

the first slide in my presentation is numbered "0". how can i change this to
"1" and have the rest of the slides re-number themselves? the slide master
has a box at the bottom with this symbol in it <#>.

You need to go to page setup and change "number from" to 1

In 2007 it will be in the Design Tab and IIRC in File > Page setup in
earlier versions

Thanks, John but where is the Design tab in 2007. i am new to 2007 and
haven't found everything yet.

Just go to Header and footers and check dont show on title page

Hi John,

i found the design tab and fixed the numbering. i suppose that i wasn't
seeing that tab because i was in the Master slide window.
