Slide Not Advancing After .AVI is Played

When running a presentation off a laptop, I like to use the left mouse button
to advance to the next slide or start an animation effect. This usually
works fine. But a recently created slide containing an .avi file will only
advance to the next slide if the space bar is pressed. Clicking the left
mouse button only causes the .avi file to loop again. All other slides
advance fine. I have also noted that the .avi slide will not advance
automatically, even if set to do so. All of the settings seem to be fine.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

If the AVI plays again, it is because you are clicking on top of the
file. Click somewhere outside the region covered by the video.

As far as advancing automatically, yes, it should. It's standard
practice for any slide I use that has a video on it. Set the slide
transition to automatic after 5 seconds or so and have the video set to
play automatically. That way, as soon as the slide shows, PP will
start the video. After 5 seconds it will want to transition to the
next slide but will hold until the video is over.

If you set the time to a very short interval (say 1 second), I've found
PP may move to the next slide before it gets around to starting the
video.
