continue presentation after avi?

Hi,

I am using some avi movies in a PowerPoint 2002 presentation. When I insert
the movies, they play correctly. But instead of contiuing to the next slide,
the presentation stays at the end of the avi movie after the avi has
completed.

If I click the mouse to move to the next slide, it restarts the avi again.
At this point I have to quickly press Esc then click the up arrow in the
lower left corner and then click 'next' to advance to the next slide.

Is there a way to have powerpoint automatically advance to the next slide
after an playing an avi slide, or be able to click the mouse to advance to
the next slide w/o having the avi start again?

When inserting a movie from file, PowerPoint asks if I want to start the
movie automatically or with a click, and I have tried both ways. I'm
probably missing something very minor, but dont know what.

Many thanks,
Geoff

When you click the mouse *on the AVI*, it triggers a pause/play option on
the AVI.

If you *move your mouse so that it's on the slide itself*, you should move
to the next slide when you click the mouse after the movie's stopped. If the
movie's not already stopped, the first click should stop it and the next
click should move to the next slide.

If your movie takes up the entire slide, you may need to make your movie
just a little smaller so that you can actually click on the slide.

You can press N to go to the next slide. You can also press the right arrow key
on the keyboard. However, if you set the slide to transition after 2 seconds,
for example, the transition should take place approximately 2 seconds after the
video completes.
