Slide Links / Title to Content

On the cover of my presentation I have the title of the deck (1st Line) along
with a date (2nd line). I want to insert a link, in the body of the
presentation (following slides), which reflects (is linked to) the specific
date entered on the Title page (2nd line on the aforementioned title page).
This is a very simple task in Excel; however don't think/know if PowerPoint
has this capability.

Which version of PowerPoint are you using? There might be a possibility
using the Master Slide capabilities, but it is more likely to do close to
what you want in 2007 than earlier versions. The only other possibility is
to use VBA code, and I'm guessing you don't want to go there.
