Sleep Mode

When I go my "select a power plan" and what is selected is my Dell
Recommended plan. But when I click on 'change plan settings" my "turn off the
display" keeps reseting to 15 minutes on battery and 20 minutes plugged in.
As for when to "put the computer to sleep" resets it to both never. This
happens every time I shut down my computer and restart it. They don't want to
stay in the plan that I want it to.

Mary,
It is possible that Dell is protecting that plan. Try creating your own plan
and modifying that instead.
(Left panel in the power options panel).

Mary,
Next suspect would be a security suite that is protecting your system
configuration. For instance McAfee has 'system guard' that protects against
system changes.

Also are you a trying to change the setting from an 'administrator' account?

I do not have McAfee, I had gotten rid of it, I have avast Home edition. I
also tried to change it in safe mode but it still continues to change. And my
account is the administrator.
