Slave hard drive

Hello:

I needed more disk space so I have added a larger second hard drive to my computer as a slave. I would like to move the location of the "shared documents" folder off my master hard drive, which is getting low on space, to the slave which is empty.

Is there a way to move all the entire "documents and settings" folder location to the slave drive?

You can create space several diffrent ways,a good start,go to search at
microsoft,type:Q307889 However the other choice is to move xp from C:
to the larger slave drive.Simply have the slave formatted with a primary
partition,once done,go to run,type:XCOPY C:\*.* D:\ /c/h/e/k/r
D: being the letter of slave,any letter will work,in the DOS window,agree
to all.Once its finished,shutdown computer,reset slave as master,set the
jumper pins and youre thru,eventually reformatt current C:,use as storage.

I would advise... DO NOT move My Documents. There are
several Microsoft apps, for example Flight Simulator 2004,
that will fail to work if this folder is moved. Consider
moving your Pagefile (swap file) to D:, which is quick and
easy. Also, get rid of your old (and useless) System
Restore Points.

Right click My documents folder, select properties. Click

'Move' and select your new destination.

No, because it is needed before any user logs on, to find his personal
registry information (in the ntuser.dat and related files that must be
left where they are). But you can move any individual user's My
Documents (and other My folders): make a folder for each user on the
other drive. From that user's logon, open a window on it and on
C:\Documents and settings\username\ to show My documents, then with the
*right* mouse button down, drag it across and take *move* here.

I *think* you could also do that with the Shared documents folder in the
C:\D&S\AllUsers, but have not had occasion to try.

Also in Internet Options, click Settings for Temporary Internet files
and Move folder to the other drive
