slave hard drive not showing after reformating

Just reformated my my master hard drive and reinstalled
XP Pro. But my slave drive doesnt show up now. If I go
to compmgmt.msc it shows up there, but as one large hard
drive. It was in three partions. When I put in the hard
drive software that came with the hard drive it shows the
three partions. Is there any way to get it to show back
up in windows, all my backup files are on that
harddrive.
 
With what were the partitions created, XP Disk Management or third party
software??
