slave hard drive data un usable

just installed xp home with ntfs file sys, cannot access slave drive or data that has fat 32 sys, can any one help
 
near as I can tell if your jumpers on the back of the drive are set to slave and you plug it into your present HDD cable as a slave it should work fine.
 
unless your system expects CS (Cable Select) Some HP systems (amongst
others) require this.

You must have the slave drive configured wrong somehow. Possibilities
include:

*Slave drive not configured in BIOS
*data or power cable to slave drive not properly connected
*jumpers on slave drive not properly set
