Skype

I have been using the excellent VOIP software Skype for around a year now,
and i really love it!

I upgraded to Windows Vista and have been reading that Skype just does not
work! Is this true??? I have around $20 of Skpye credit and i spent quite a
bit of money on a Skype phone.

I have a Waitec EZ-I VOIP phone, and Dell Inspiron 6400 running Vista Home
Premium. And a "High Definition Audio Playback Device" will these work?

If Skype just will not work, and i will have to wait around a few months for
the next release. Is there any other VOIP software that works like Skype?

Thanks,

Nick.

It's not true. I use Skype on Vista Business and it works fine. I've even
used the beta video feature.

Totally untrue. All Skype features work perfectly. I have Vista Ultimate
on a new machine. I just installed latest Skype and signed in with my usual
nick and away you go.

Not true, but a few folks (such as myself) have had to suffer serious
microphone problems while awaiting properly Vista-ready audio drivers.
You can only find out for sure how Skype will work with your system
running Vista by trying it.
