Skype box pops up

Every time I turn my laptop on a skype window opens and it's really annoying.
It means everything runs slower for the first few minutes. I've deleted
everything related to Skype on my computer but it still opens. Any ideas how
to stop it?

Use the MSCONFIG tool - see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310560, go to
the startup section and disable entries for anything that looks suspicious by
un-ticking entries. then restart the machine. (Or disable everything, then
selectively re-enable items as necessary, rebooting and retesting each time).

Come back to me if this does not solve the issue,
