Skipping intro? Cookies?

Hi,

If you use dabs (dbs.com), the first time you use it, it will ask if you are french, or english.

But, it will never ask again, it will take you directly to your choise.

I am building a flash inro for my site, and want the same thing.

as-in, people view the intro, and when they return get sent straight to the home page, not having to click "skip intro"

Can this be done? and if so how?

yes - it's cookies I suspect

I don't know flash but you should be able to inspect a cookie and poke cookies @ visitors using php or cgi of some sort then redirect them,., be aware that not everyone likes cookies so the site should function fine whether or not a cookie has been accepted,. one way is to include something onto the url line like http://example.com?lang=en etc
