Description of problem:
When I: double click on the pps file
Here's what happens:
the show opens and starts to run automatically. however, the show skips
pictures randomly.
What doesn't happen, but should, is:
the file is a simple set of 36 images on 36 slides, with a wav playing
across all the slides. timing is automatically set. the show starts and
stops correctly. the show does not drag, slide changes maintain correct
timing with the song. sometimes it will do the whole show without skipping
any images. however, most times it will run the show and skip images, i.e.
blank slide and no image. it skips different images with each run, it is
(seems very) random. the show progresses with the proper timing between
slides. when it skips an image you see the slide, with the background
color, but the picture is not there.
Here's what I've already tried to solve the problem:
tried to make the pictures take less memory. resized the pictures to wanted
size outside of PP rather than resize in the slide. pack and go. doesn't
work from the hard drive, so I burned the pack and go, being the .pps, the
playlist.lst and the .wav to a cd, ran from cd, still skips pictures
randomly.
tried using gif to jpg. still have the problem.
need the show to show each picture, reliably and consistently
Other info:
file is 1M, but it is 24 M after a pack and go.
please HELP!!!!
