Size Grid

When I open word 2003, the size grid at the top of the page is in
millemeters, not inches as it originally was set. How do I change it back to
inches? I know it's probably easy but I can seem to make it happen.

I assume you are describing the Horizontal ruler, go to Tools, Options,
General, change the Measurement units to inches.

Also, if that doesn't fix it, the ruler may be showing 'character units'
rather than millimeters. See http://www.gmayor.com/Character_Units.htm for
the fix.
