Single User DB thinks there is another user...

I will start with the error message in the popup window:
"The data has been changed."
"Another user has edited this record and saved the changes before you
attempted to save your changes."
"Re-edit the record."

If someone can explain to me what would circumstance would bring up this
message, maybe I can figure out what is causing it. I assume I have a single
user database.

The second user is usually you. If you have more than 1 form (including) a
subform) connected to the same data, or even the same data page, you can get
this error.

Arvin,

What do I look for to correct the error? I do have several forms that look
at the same data, but this error occurs only on one form.

I have horses that are starting one by one on an obstacle course They have
to start in random order, and are in several groups, one group for each
course. The courses are listed in a selectable list box. I click on the
random order button which assigns a random number to each horse, and then
click on a course to schedule the horses on that course, and BAM! I get the
error.

Can you give me a little clue, or is this just too difficult without seeing
the code?

I corrected the problem without knowing how. I just changed 'Data Entry'
from no to yes, and now the error message doesn't appear.
