Single click problem

Windows xp professional-How can I change the mouse from
double click to single click. Am unable to find the
websetting to accomplish this.

You need to go to control panel and click on folder options icon. On the
General tab you will see a section marked 'click itms as follows' Place a
check mark in the radio button next to the option 'single click to open an
item'
