Since going to Verizon DSL our Outlook 2003 will stop sending and
receiving. I have to "Detect and Repair" from the Tools tab and
Reboot then it will work for a day or so until it stops again.
What SMTP server are you using, and are you authenticating to it? You need
to be using Verizon's SMTP server unless you have another one you can use
from any connection (but you will also need to authenticate to it, most
likely.

Sorry, no email replies - when you post in a newsgroup, you should expect to
read the answers in the newsgroup.
You might want to consider using a newsreader like Outlook Express or Forte
Agent rather than the web interface to the newsgroups - it's a lot easier to
do nearly everything there, including searching, which is always a good idea
to do before you post, as well as mark messages to be watched, and filter
based on replies to your posts.
The Microsoft public news server is msnews.microsoft.com and you can
subscribe to as many groups as you like.
I did not have a chance to change
my address here, but will immediately. Thank you,
Don't. Posting your valid e-mail address in a newsgroup post, or in your
news account settings, is a surefire way to get spam and SWEN and other
viruses sent to you....see
http://www.mailmsg.com/SPAM_munging.htm for help
in the future, but note that now that your address is out there, there's not
much you can do other than changing your address.
