Simplest Directions to Install my Network using XP please

CAn you direct me to the page where I can print out the
simplest directions for how and where in my XP I set up
my network? I have a router already. Just need to set it up. Someone told
me just follow the network set up in your XP.

Did your router come with an instruction manual and/or can you find detailed
instructions on the router manufacturer's web site?

Does the router manufacturer have a technical support web site where you can
ask questions and be guided through the process?

When you contact the manufacturer, be sure to tell them what you are trying
to connect and how you will use the devices, what software, etc. They'll
need to know this. You haven't told us anything at all about your network

I had the directions once but had to restore my whole desktop computer and
they were on it.
My router is a Netgear. I went through the whole company thing they charge
you per incident
I only have a desktop and a laptop. The router does make it so that they
both have internet access.
But once I had it set up (professionally) so that I could do everything from
my laptop. Save
directly to my desk top from my lap top and print out from my lap top
through the desktops
printer.
I was told I can set this up in Windows XP using their step by step
programme.
I would like the directions for that please.
